At Dennistoun coffee roasters, we start by sourcing ethical, organically grown coffee for a number of reasons. Coffee is one of the most chemically fertilized foods in the world. When coffee is grown with chemicals and pesticides it strips away the naturally occurring antioxidants and has an impact on the overall quality of the coffee as well as effecting the environment. Farms with organic methods of growing use composts and natural fertilizers as well as using the elements of nature to maintain their crops, therefor having a smaller carbon footprint.


It's not just the farms that make a difference to the environment. Roasters have their part to play, thats why we try our very best to reduce carbon emission by roasting our coffee with one of the worlds most energy efficient roaster, as well as sending our coffee in fully recyclable pouches to make our carbon footprint even smaller.
